Passion is infectious and we genuinely hope our stoke for bikes and riding helps get more people on bikes and hyped for their next adventure.
Be the change you want to see in the world! Whether that's helping build or maintain trails with Singletrack Advocates, sponsoring Arctic Bike Club events, or helping the neighborhood kids bring their bike back to life, we strive to be the shop that we would want to see and visit.
Will has spent his entire life obsessed with bikes. Riding, racing, tinkering, servicing, and designing. Before opening Mad Moose Bikes, Will raced as a professional off road triathlete and endurance athlete winning races such as the AlaskaMan Extreme Triathlon, Susitna 100, White Mountains 100, Fat Bike Birkie, and the Soggy Bottom 100. To support his racing career, Will worked at some of the other Anchorage area bike shops where he quickly moved into the shop service manager role as well as product manager designing fat bikes for one of the local fat bike brands. All that culminates in 20+ years of bike industry experience.
Colter is an approachable and skilled bike technician who's always curious about new things and ready to learn. Colter started working on bikes by assembling and maintaining the rental fleet at Hilltop Bike Park where his aptitude for bikes was quickly noticed and he was encouraged to seek a bike shop job to learn more. Colter joined our team before the new shop even opened and was a key player in building out our new retail space. When Colter isn't at the shop wrenching meticulously, he's out hitting the trails, slaying the whitewater, studying to be a mechanical engineer, or taunting us with his wheelie riding skills.
If you've ever walked into our shop and been greeted by contagious energy, expert bike advice, and a big smile, chances are you've met Thomas. At only 19, Thomas has loads of road racing experience in the US and Europe. He is currently pursuing the sprint focused disciplines on the velodrome where he has some serious horsepower. While Thomas might struggle to see the 5mm allen key right in front of him, his vision for the future is bright as he's studying mechanical engineering at CMU.
